I was travelling through San Francisco airport a few weeks ago with lots of time to kill, so spent some time looking at the cosmetics. I’d often wanted to try the Clinique Sonic Cleansing System but just hadn’t actually bought one. The airport duty free was selling the Cleansing Brush in a pack with their Liquid Facial Soap (150ml), Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (30ml) and a small bottle of the Clarifying Lotion. As I like and use these products, I thought it was worth buying so I spent $109 for the whole pack.
How it works:
The Clinique Cleansing Brush has a white soft brush and a slightly rougher green brush at the top, for use in T zone areas. It comes with a charger that will plug into a laptop, a plastic cover to protect the brush when storing it or travelling and a docking station for charging.
It recommends that you use it just once a day for the first week, so this I did! I found it a little unusual the first day or so, but even after 3 days my skin was noticably softer and smoother and felt so clean. I then started to use it twice a day and am continuing to do this. I’ve used the product for three weeks now and must say, I am impressed. I’ve got so used to using it that I’d miss it if I didn’t have it.
It charges easily – I find that I only need to charge it around once a week. It takes just 4 minutes to cleanse your face and I also use it on my neck area.
Soft, Clean Skin
Overall, I like it and would recommend it! My skin feels so fresh, clean and soft. The only issue I haven’t had to deal with yet is buying new brush heads. They retail at $26 so they are not exactly inexpensive but the instructions say that one brush should last around 3 months, and mine still looks and feels brand new. I do rinse it carefully after each use and gentry dry the brush bristles when I finish using it.
Have you used the Chinique Sonic yet? I’d love to hear your opinions on it in the comments.
